Best freight quoting software, honestly shortlisted.
Most 'best software' lists are written by vendors pretending not to be vendors. So let's be explicit: we build one of the tools below, we say so in its row, and every other entry is described by what it's genuinely good at — because a credible shortlist serves you better than a rigged one.
“Quoting software” hides three different products: (1) rate management (organising buy rates), (2) rate distribution (accessing live carrier capacity), and (3) quotation automation (turning an inbound RFQ into a sent, margin-protected quote). Decide which problem is yours first — the shortlist sorts itself.
| Tool | What it is | Strongest fit |
|---|---|---|
| AI Quote Desk (this site) | AI quotation agent | SME forwarders in India/GCC and beyond who want RFQ-to-drafted-quote automated end-to-end with a human approval gate; works with Excel+Tally or any TMS |
| Wisor.AI | AI quoting & revenue platform | Forwarders wanting automated quote creation integrated with TMSs like CargoWise and Magaya; strong content and fintech angle |
| Freightify | Rate management & quoting platform | Forwarders needing rate procurement, management and branded customer quoting portals; est. rate-management specialist |
| cargo.one (incl. former Cargofive) | Air (and now ocean) rate & booking platform | Desks whose bottleneck is live air capacity/rates and bookings; acquired ocean-rate platform Cargofive in 2026 |
| Catapult QMS (Magaya) | Rate management / quote automation | Magaya-ecosystem forwarders and rate-desk teams standardising contract rate lookup |
| Descartes GPM (ex-Portrix) | Enterprise global price management | Large multinational forwarders managing complex global tariffs at enterprise scale |
| Quotiss | Quote automation | Simplifying rate sheets into sendable quotes quickly; lightweight adoption |
| Your TMS's quoting module (CargoWise, Logi-Sys, Shipthis…) | TMS-native quoting | Desks already deep in a TMS whose enquiries arrive structured, and who quote mostly on contract rates |
Vendor notes and disclosures
AI Quote Desk (this site). Our product — judge this row accordingly. Full disclosure: built by AggAiLabs, part of the FreighAI platform.
Wisor.AI. US/Israel-based; raised seed funding in 2023.
Freightify. Sequoia (India)-backed; used by forwarders across 40+ countries.
cargo.one (incl. former Cargofive). Strong on rate distribution; quoting is one part of a booking marketplace.
Catapult QMS (Magaya). Acquired by Magaya in 2020.
Descartes GPM (ex-Portrix). Acquired by Descartes in 2021; used by many top-20 forwarders.
Quotiss. Long-standing specialist in quote simplification.
Your TMS's quoting module (CargoWise, Logi-Sys, Shipthis…). Strength is integration; weakness is usually messy-RFQ intake and speed.
Choosing in one paragraph
If your pain is organising rates, look at Freightify or Catapult. If it’s live air capacity, cargo.one. If you’re a global enterprise, Descartes GPM. If your pain is the one this whole site is about — RFQs arriving in every format and quotes going out too slow, too wrong, or not at all— you want quotation automation with a human gate: that’s our lane, and Wisor plays in it too. Ask both to quote a real RFQ from your inbox live; buy whichever one survives contact with your Tuesday.
There is no universal winner — there is a correct match per desk. Our bias is disclosed and our demo is the test we invite you to run against anyone on this list: your ugliest real RFQ, quoted live.
The test that settles it.
Thirty minutes, your real RFQ, priced and drafted in front of you — then compare anyone against that bar.
